Volunteer Orientation is Tall Ships 101 and your intro into the world of traditional vessels. On day one, you'll gain hands-on experience and practical skills-building that you'll use every time you work aboard. You'll become familiar with the ship and how she functions, how to tie up the boat when she docks, and how to send her on her way when she casts off. You'll hoist sails and tie knots. And yeah, you might swab a deck or two.
