Guest Crew Opportunities
Have you ever dreamed of life aboard and sailing one of these beautiful traditional sailing ships. Spirit of South Carolina offers you that chance to make it real. No experience, necessary, only good health and reasonable physical. Spirit of South Carolina offers berths aboard on selected cruises for those who wish to learn and experience life as a deckhand. Public Harbor Sails and Charters
When in her home port in Charleston, Spirit of South Carolina's crew will host weekly Public harbor sails, weather permitting.
Step aboard and explore the deck, guided by one of our volunteer deckhands. "Learn the ropes" that raise and trim sail. Capture the flavor of line handling, standing watch and how she works.
